New Tools for a Growing Business
We are launching a new WB API portal designed to meet the evolving needs of our users and the dynamic growth of the company
Our goal is to create a platform that allows developers and sellers to use the API more effectively. This update is a step towards a more open and customer-centric approach. The portal introduces many innovations, from improved navigation and notifications to revamped documentation. Let’s take a closer look at each feature.
New Design and Navigation
The new portal offers a streamlined interface — its structure is now more intuitive and user-friendly
- Minimalist design. A dark background with bright accents highlights key sections.
- New description cards. Help users quickly find the relevant sections of the documentation.
- Improved mobile version. Now just as convenient as the desktop version.
- Menu items and documentation cards often overlapped, making users switch between pages to find the right section.
- The documentation followed a multi-page structure, with each section having its own page for tool descriptions, sandboxes, change logs, and Swagger.
Useful Content
In the «News and Announcements» section, we will publish materials about the latest service features
The news feed is now split into separate channels for developers and sellers — ensuring each group receives only relevant updates.
Previously, news was located within the seller’s personal account, making it harder to stay informed.
On the events page, you can register for upcoming webinars and workshops and watch recordings of past events.
At these events, you can:
- Learn more about the API. Explore API features and learn how to apply them to your projects.
- Engage in open dialogue. Ask questions and get answers from experts.
- Network with peers. Connect with our community of developers and sellers to exchange experiences.
The release notes now include:
- Sorting by categories and dates, so you can track specific API updates.
- Detailed descriptions with tags, allowing you to quickly grasp the purpose of each update without diving too deep.
- Notifications for critical updates, helping you stay informed of any breaking changes that might affect your current integrations.
In the old version, there was no filtering by categories, and the update descriptions were less detailed.
The WB API documentation has been revamped to be more accessible to developers of all levels. It is now structured from «simple to complex,» so new users can get started quickly, while experienced developers can dive deeper into the API specifics.
We’ve also added:
- More code examples.
- Improved search functionality.
- An English version.
Case Studies
Discover how companies are solving challenges with the API and see tangible results from integration.
In these case studies, you’ll learn how the API helps automate processes and boost revenue. Get inspired by these success stories and use the full potential of the API for your own integrations.
It was important for us that this update addressed users’ needs, so we based the development on user feedback. In the future, we will introduce a special form to make it easier for you to share your ideas with the WB API team. The WB API team will continue to foster the developer community, creating groups for sharing knowledge, solving problems, and discussing best practices for working with the WB API.
