Feedback plays a key role in the development of the API, helping us better understand your needs and release updates that meet user expectations. Today, we are launching the new Q4 2024 survey and invite you to participate. Your answers will help us prioritize tasks and improve the API functionality.
In the third quarter, we conducted a survey among users to identify which aspects of working with the WB API need improvement. The survey sparked a lot of interest and provided valuable feedback. We thank everyone who participated and shared their thoughts—we are already making improvements based on your feedback.
In this article, we will share the results of our work for Q3 2024 and talk about what has been done, what we are working on now, and what updates are planned for the near future.
Convenient navigation and access to information
The portal simplifies navigation and working with the documentation, helping developers quickly find information and code examples. We also updated the API changelog and added critical change notifications that may affect existing integrations.

Increased expertise and reduced response times
One of the frequent requests from users was to enhance the competence of technical support and reduce response times. This applied both to general seller support and the WB API support team.
We have improved the service, and by the end of the third quarter, users noted an increase in expertise and a reduction in response times. We will continue working to maintain a high level of support.
Direct dialogue with verified services
Services now have the opportunity to communicate directly with the WB API team. This channel not only helps resolve API-related issues quickly but also opens new opportunities for collaboration.
We strive for close interaction with our partners and invite services that have not yet been listed in the catalog to take advantage of this opportunity.
A new tool for managing marketing promotions
One of the most popular requests was to expand the management of marketing promotions. Users wanted to receive information about upcoming promotions and participate in them via API.
In response, the WB API team developed the “Promotions Calendar.”
With it, you can:
This tool simplifies the process of managing promotions for sellers. Plan marketing campaigns, manage discounts, and participate in promotions without manual effort—all available through the API.
Manage stock levels through the API
Sellers faced a lack of stock balance data when receiving their first token for API use. The Statistics service collects information about goods and stock only after the seller issues their first token. This means that until some movement occurs for a product, its stock is unavailable, making it harder to plan and manage logistics.
We introduced the Stock Balance Report to address this. Now, stock information is available from the moment the token is issued, giving sellers immediate access to their inventory data.
Analyze customer queries and boost sales
This tool is designed to analyze customer search queries and product clustering.
Now, with the API, you can:
This tool allows sellers to better understand customer needs, respond to market changes quickly, improve product visibility, and boost sales.
Optimize document management via API
This solution is suitable for companies processing large volumes of documents. Set up automatic report generation to save time and avoid errors.
Key features:
Control pricing and avoid discount errors
The new pricing and discount method provides information about products that have been placed under price quarantine. This tool helps avoid mistakes when making significant price changes.
How price quarantine works:
If the new price of a product is 3 times lower than the previous one, it enters quarantine. The product will be sold at the old price until the error is corrected. You can get information about such products through the API, and changes can be made either via the API or in your personal account.
Key features:
Resolved data accuracy and stability issues
Users reported delays when working with the detailed weekly sales reports.
After improvements, many users noticed positive changes in both the stability and accuracy of the data. We continue to monitor the service quality.
Simplifying data handling
Users often pointed out that pagination looks different in many methods. To address this issue, we have started developing a unified pagination standard and are converting some methods to it. Implementing this standard will take time, but it remains a priority.
A tool for analyzing sales speed and managing inventory
Soon, we will begin developing a new tool—the Stock Turnover Report. It will be essential for more efficient inventory management and assessing sales dynamics.
The goal of the report is to provide data on how quickly products sell and are replaced in warehouses. This will help sellers better understand which products need replenishment and which stay in stock longer than expected.
The report will include the following information:
This development aims to make inventory management more efficient and provide sellers with the ability to forecast sales more accurately. The Stock Turnover Report will be available via API in the coming quarters.
How to differentiate between order types
In the future, we will add flags for FBS and FBO orders in the "Statistics" API, so you can quickly distinguish between the two types of orders. However, there is already a solution to help differentiate orders without waiting for the flag feature.
FBS and FBO order identification algorithm:
To identify FBS and FBO orders, use the method "Get assembly task information".
This method returns data about assembly tasks, allowing you to determine the order type:
Your feedback helped us improve the portal, launch new API features, and make necessary enhancements.
We appreciate users' active participation and invite you to take part in the new survey. Don’t miss the opportunity to contribute to the development of the WB API. Together, we will shape the future direction of our platform.
