The primary source of information about the WB API is the documentation: method specifications, parameter descriptions, and response examples. But before sending your first request, you need to understand the basics: how authorization works, how a token differs from OAuth, what a sandbox is, and why data categories matter. Previously, this information had to be gathered from various places — now it's all collected in one section.
The Knowledge Base currently includes 12 thematic sections. For this launch, we wrote 64 completely new articles that make up the 10 core sections. And to keep all the necessary information in one place, we carefully migrated 2 additional sections with all the guides and case studies you're already familiar with. The articles are written for sellers, developers, and SaaS partners — everyone will find content relevant to their role.
Three starting routes — for sellers, developers, and SaaS partners. Each route will guide you through key articles and help you find your way around the section.
Everything about connecting to the API: tokens and OAuth 2.0, creating and refreshing tokens, data categories, the authorization system, and seller data protection.
Your first API request, pagination, rate limits, error code reference. A dedicated section on the sandbox — a test environment where you can verify your integration without risking production data.
The Knowledge Base also includes sections on API monitoring and updates, the Business Solutions Catalog on Wildberries, learning materials, and a WB API glossary.
To save you from searching through sixty-four articles, we've prepared starting routes for each role.
Sellers — how to connect to the API, create a token, and choose between building your own integration or using an existing service. Technical details are placed in separate articles for convenience.
Developers — the authorization system, API structure, rate limits, error codes, and working with the sandbox. Articles include examples and cURL requests.
SaaS Partners — OAuth 2.0, service secret, sandbox, the Solutions Catalog, and the service dashboard.
Step-by-step guides for API sections and real-world integration case studies, already familiar to portal users, are now also accessible through the Knowledge Base. The guides cover working with products, orders, analytics, and other API sections. Among the case studies are integration stories from companies of various sizes and examples of using tools like 1C, MoySklad, Google Sheets, and Postman.
Launching the Knowledge Base in its current form is just the first step. We have two major updates planned in the near future:
