Major Updates and Changes

New Method «Product Information»

We have started testing the «Product Information» method, which provides a wealth of valuable data: WB SKU, brand, name, seller’s name, rating, number of reviews, available sizes and stock levels, and current prices. This will help create more accurate analytics and automate processes. After testing, this method will become available to all WB API users.

Changes in Review-Related Methods

This update enhances the depth of customer feedback analysis. Now, response fields include:

  • parentFeedbackId and childFeedbackId, allowing tracking of relationships between original and additional reviews;
  • pros and cons, reflecting the product’s strengths and weaknesses from buyers’ perspectives;
  • additional product data: barcode (lastOrderShkId), purchase date (lastOrderCreatedAt), color (color), item ID, and name (subjectId, subjectName).

Discontinuation of Recommendation Methods

As of October 2, product recommendation management methods are no longer supported. Stay tuned for news on the latest tools and methods that will replace the Recommendations API.

Updates to Returns API

Starting October 14, photos transmitted via the method for retrieving customer return requests are now provided in WEBP format instead of JPEG, offering higher quality and smaller file sizes. Additionally, the Returns API now allows you to reject requests with a custom seller comment. You can use the rejectcustom code, adding your decision explanation in the comment parameter. This gives buyers a fuller understanding of the reasons for the rejection.

Updates to Promotions API

As of October 17, the following deprecated methods in the Promotions API have been disabled:

Updates to FBS Orders API

The FBS Orders API has been supplemented with new parameters to enhance information. The response fields now include:

  • comment — buyer’s comment, helping to better understand customer requests and preferences;
  • salePrice — sale price in the currency of sale with the seller’s discount applied, excluding WB Club discount, multiplied by 100, facilitating analysis of pricing policy and buyer activity.

New Tools

New «Search Queries» Report

You can now download data from the «Search Queries» report using the API. It helps analyze which search queries lead to your products being found and purchased, influencing their positions in search results. The report includes:

  • top 30 search queries not only by clicks to the product page but also by additions to the cart, orders, and conversions;
  • data on products involved in ads for the selected period and their total count;
  • product ranking dynamics compared to the previous period;
  • performance assessment on search queries relative to competitors.

This report is available with the «Gem» subscription, providing a detailed look at customer behavior.

New WB Farvater API Course

The educational platform WB Farvater has introduced a new course, «Process Automation with WB API». It is suitable for both experienced sellers and beginners who want to use WB API in their business. The course:

  • covers basic and advanced aspects of working with WB API;
  • explores tasks suitable for automation;
  • and much more.

The course includes 11 lessons, guiding you through each step of working with the API. At the end, you’ll find a bonus — a video guide on exporting a report to Google Sheets.

In October, we summarized the results of the Q3 survey and released a new survey for Q4 2024. Based on your feedback, we launched a new portal, increased support response speed by 95%, added API tools for documents, and introduced a Promotions Calendar.
